AGENDA: 3 Days/2 Nights

TALLULAH GORGE:

Day 1: Friday 

  • Arrival After 3 PM: 
    Arrival:
    Tallulah State Park: Pioneer Group Site PDF: Directions.  (
    If you will not be arriving until after dinner, please plan on eating before you come.)

  • Do Camp Duties

  • 5-7PM:
    Friday Evening Grill Sergeant and Crew to Prep Meal (See duty roster. If you're not on it, you will be) 

  • Welcome Dinner

  • After 7 PM:
    Bonfire Gathering, Manly Message 1, Skits, Night Hike


Day 2: Saturday

  • 5:30-7:30 AM:
    Saturday Breakfast Grill Sergeant and Crew to Prep Meal (See duty roster)

  • Manly Breakfast

  • Manly Message 2

  • Community Building

  • Father/Son Heart2Heart Expeditions in the Gorge. This can be the deepest and most enduring memories of the weekend.  Includes exploration of the offerings of the gorgeous Tallulah Gorge.  Gorp and HOH.

  • Afternoon:
    Father/Son Knightly Tourney and Messages.

  • Evening Meal:
    Saturday Evening Grill Sergeant and Crew to Prep Meal (See duty roster)

  • Evening Chow

  • After 7 PM:
    Guy time, Bonfire, Manly Message 3, roasting marshmallows, Speaking Into the life of a Son Ceremony


Day 3: Sunday

  • 5:30-7:30 AM:
    Sunday Morning Grill Sergeant and Crew to Prep Meal (See duty roster)

  • Breakfast

  • Morning Spiritual, Manly Message 4

  • Lunch at Camp:

  • Obstacle Course:
    MANCAMP Guys at Starting Line of Warrior Dash. ("you never leave your wing man")
    FAQs

  • Running/Jogging/Walking* the Warrior Dash
    (*you decide pace based on your health)

  • After:
    Free time, Pack-up camp, final closing.

  • Get own lunch on way home or meet somewhere to eat together.



Pioneer Group Site:
The Pioneer Group Site is a primitive, rugged site. Site is located by itself. Site has no water or electricity. No access to shower facilities. Prepare for Rag washing.  (Shaving not expected.) Site has pit toilet, fire ring, picnic tables. Water will be hauled in and provided. Site is located across from Terrora Campground. Maximum capacity 25. We plan on having 3 large tents setup. Vehicle parking located ~30 yards. Water is available at dumping station at entrance of main campground.  No use of any other amenities allowed for Pioneer Campers.  i.e Stay out of the Main Campground facilities, showers, etc.  

Day 1 Check-in at the site: 4 PM.  Meal 1 Grill Sargent and team to start cooking at 5PM


Everyone Works:
At MANCAMP everyone participates in accomplishing the work.  It's Organic Generational Leadership in real time.  A Grill Sergeant and a team will be assigned for every meal.  (Gentlemen, bring your best guy aprons! No vulgarity, lewd images, etc. please)

Sign-Up for one or more of the following leadership opportunities:

  • 4-5 Grill Sargents, one for each meal,  assures team cohesiveness and execution of assigned meals and helps prepare the meal.

    • Fathers & Sons Meal teams prepare the meals. Everyone will participate on a cooking team atleast once.

  • 3 Father(s)/Son(s) teams, one for each day, for Campsite Trash collection and removal.

  • Videographer(s) and Photographer(s) needed for in camp and the Warrior Dash. If you record video or take photos over the 3 days, please provide a copy to our MANCAMP Coordinator. 

  • Packup Sargent (last day) assures all gear stowed clean and correctly.

Camping Gear Requirements:

Men are Leaders and Leaders accept responsibility for their decisions and actions.  If you have decided to participate in Man Camp and/or any of the associated activities, you, by your participation, are accepting responsibility for yourself and those brought to the event under your care and will not hold the coordinator or anyone associated with it responsible.   (Life is not safe, but it is good.)
