SWORD FIGHTING 
learn about and test your skill at the ancient art of man to man sword fighting.  
Requires: quick thinking of alternatives, restraint/self control. Long pants and shirt recommended.  Helmet provided.

MIDIEVAL LONGBOW 
Handle the ancient weapon that has won more wars than guns - the bow and arrow.  
Requires: high responsibility,teachability.

TOMAHAWK THROWING 
Throw a Daniel Boone Tomahawk dead on the end of an old stump.  
Requires: teachability, judgment and use of problem solving skills.

TUG OF WAR 
the classic test of unity through balancing the sides. 
Requires: perseverance and reliance on more than might to win.

TWO MAN SAW 
challenge other father/son teams. Sign and date your disk and keep as a reward and memory.
Requires: teamwork, timing, and mutual submission.

BOXING BASICS 
learn the basics and build your skill and strength as a gentleman boxer.  
Requires: quick thinking of alternatives, restraint/self control. moderate to strenuous workout.

BALLOON BATTLEFIELD
Teams make super water balloon launchers in preparation for war. Then, after filling a zillion water balloons, we all meet on the battlefield and shoot at opposing teams that have soldiers that stand still with back as targets (STINGS! DO AT YOUR OWN RISK. NOT AT CLOSE RANGE. WORSE THAN A PAINT BALL). If you hit then, you get a point, if they move, you get a point. Great on hot days. 
Requires: fun attitude, humility

CAPTURE THE FLAG 
Break up into different camps made up of father/son tribes, setup your headquarters, post your flag and let the strategery begin.  The team with the most flags or prisoners wins!
Requires: strategic thinking, team work, sacrifice

SLACKLINING
difficulty depends on the team building excersize slected from beginner to advanced. harder than it looks. as fun as it looks.
Requires: balance. trust. plain fun.

FALCONRY 
the basics of falconry, handle a bird at rest, learn the apprenticeship process.
Requires: respect.

SURVIVAL SKILLS 
father and sons learn and apply various survival techniques to help prepare them for a survival expedition.
Requires: teamwork, coordination, mutual submission.

LOG ROLLING 
Two contestants roll on the same log in the water, trying to get the other off balance without crossing the center.  
Requires: coordination, quick thinking, mutual respect.

BLANKET TOSS 
fathers and sons circle the blanket and share the burden to lift up a brother to greater heights.
Requires: teamwork, self control. 

ROCK CLIMBING 
sons learn trust and faith lessons as their father uses his newly learned skill of belaying his own son on a rope.
Requires: communication, submission/trust.

SHIELD MAKING 
father and sons make their own wooden shield for use with their training swords and gear at home.
Requires: adherence to safety rules, use of tools.

VEHICLE MAINTENANCE 
father and sons tune up an old car, change the oil and rortate a tire.
Requires: teachability, use of tools.

FAITH BUILDING ACTIVITIES 
hearing our fathers voice and following not by sight, trust fall, etc. 
Requires: humility, trust, teachability.

EXTREME OBSTACLE COURSE
for MANCAMPS that are held near and include the Warrior Dash, run as a group over a 3 mile extreme obstacle course.
Requires: Father/Son Team Cooperation, selflessness, knowing your limits.

hearing our fathers voice and following not by sight, trust fall, etc. 
Requires: humility, trust, teachability.

For those under age, it is assumed that you have obtained your parents permission before participating in any risky activity.  Such activities require adult supervision and are not for small children.
